The global average 1 month survival rate of patients with out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), who have undergone CPR is 10.7% (1)

Resuscitated patients are unstable and can experience re-arrest. Re-arrest occurs in 17.5 – 54.8% of patients (2) and is associated with poor outcomes.

This study looked at post ROSC patients and:

  • incidence and risk factors of rearrest
  • incidence and associated factors of reattainment of ROSC,
  • association between post-ROSC events and outcomes
